"Health is the underlying influence in our entire lives, and a factor we control far more than most think possible! Physical and mental health are intricately linked, and everything is improved with awareness and focus. Whether it be strengthening the body in different ways to improve strength and resilience, or whether it be for rehabilitation of old injuries we simply assumed were lifelong, or even some mental and emotional concerns, nearly everything can be improved through working on yourself with these Kung Fu tools."

Curriculum, Progression, and "Rank"
Our curriculum is comprised of a short but intricate series of Forms; as students learn and comprehend the choreography, they develop and improve skills appropriate to their level. Each level the skills build in depth and complexity, using the previous Form's accomplishment as a prerequisite for successful performance of the next Training Tier.

While traditionally Kung Fu did not employ rank or belt progression, our Yee's Hung Ga Kung Fu Association has established standardized training and testing of progression through the curriculum, thus ensuring quality of instruction, retention of a high quality of outcomes for our students, and uniform advancement of the art itself. This training path guides a student from Junior Student to Senior student, then to Assistant Instructor (Jo Gow), and into the Sifu (Dan/”Black Belt”) levels, at which point advancement takes a different form. Come see what Progress means to you as you work through our Curriculum!
